The Win: To further gain exposure and share the story and quality of Ghostwood Whiskey, Ghostwood headed to the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Since its introduction in 2000, the SFWSC has become one of the most respected and influential spirits competitions in the world. Meaning that obtaining an award is one of the most reliable and universal indications of a spirit’s excellence. Ghostwood Whiskey has been pushing boundaries and reinventing the “traditional” whiskey. Creating something attractive enough to gain new customers but smooth and sophisticated enough to attract whiskey aficionados. What makes it different? The taste and the experience. Ghostwood Blended Bourbon is a high rye, 4-grain whiskey that provides a comfortable, smooth and rich beginning followed by a wonderfully sweet corn caramel flavor, and finishes like a spicy carrot cake. After competing with more than 5,500 entries from all corners of the world, Ghostwood Blended Bourbon Whiskey was awarded double gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. So much of my personal vision of a “great bourbon” is in that bottle. When I began distilling for myself my only goal was to create something which meets my own palate.
